The Linotype Operator a new novel by Michael Robert Wolf

The Linotype Operator

Leah Maines is the editor of this new novel: She had the following to say about the novel.

FLP EDITIONS

Set in present day Brooklyn and Manhattan—with historic monuments and institutions as background characters—The Linotype Operator is the story of Orthodox Jewish former Linotype operator David Kaplan and his two daughters. Dutiful and religiously observant Naomi is forty-eight, single, and lives with her father in Brooklyn. Her "prettier" younger sister Lisa is married, has two young children, and lives in the suburban community of Englewood, New Jersey.

After meeting a handsome non-Jewish man at the Macy's housewares department where she works, Naomi's periodic daydreams begin to get the best of her—setting in motion a collision of worlds that can scarcely be contained in either Brooklyn or Manhattan. Sprinkled with rye humor, and including a cast of unusual supporting characters, The Linotype Operator gives the reader a deeply poignant look into parallel New York worlds and lives.

The Linotype Operator is Michael Robert Wolf's second novel. His first novel, The Upper Zoo, was released to high acclaim in 2012, and rose to number three across all genres on Amazon.com. He also wrote and directed an independent motion picture, The Sound of the Spirit, which was released the same year. The film consistently hovers around eight out of ten stars on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB.com). Wolf is also active in ministry related work, and regularly writes blogs and articles. He lives in Landen, Ohio with his wife, fine artist and author Rachel Rubin Wolf.

Rating:  [5 of 5 Stars!]
“I don’t know if Michael Robert Wolf’s The Linotype Operator is a great novel or a good novel, but I do know that this unassuming story of a devout Brooklyn Jew and his not-so-wayward daughter enchanted me in a way I’ve been enchanted by only a handful of stories over the past ten years. When I finished it, I wanted to read it all over again.”

This is it!

Ok folks!
This is it!
This album Beginnings by Melissa Dittrich David

Is officially Amy Colleen's 2016 piano soaking album of the year!
I have not been moved in this magnitude, touched this deep in spirit by the tickling of the ivories since the "original" album by David Mc Clintock Great Is the Lord, Mind you this music, these melodies (in my opinion) are more suited for soaking quietly in the presence of the Lord than the glorious tunes of David Mc Clintock.
This album is full of healing melodies great for ones time alone with the Master, background music for intercession prayer or even filling the home for those who like to have the house filled with anointed music 24/7/365.
Either way I invite you to stop by Melissa Dittrich David's page and take a listen! Be Blessed!

Melissa's music is available to both preview and purchase via her webpage
as well as Itunes

Enjoy and Be Blessed!

Walking under a cloud?

Have you ever felt like you were doing everything right and still were walking around with a cloud over your head when it's sunny all around you?

As a believer in Yeshua/Jesus....you study hard, you go to fellowship, you're a nice person.

Why is this happening?

Did you know that there is a huge difference between KNOWING THE TRUTH and LIVING IN the truth?

Yeshua/Jesus said to his disciples,
"“I AM the Way — and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me."

And

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said,

“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Yeshua didn't say he knew the truth. Yeshua said he was the truth. huge difference.

One might think as a disciple, 'what's the big difference?'....well frankly there is a monumental life giving difference.

Well let's take a look at the definition of the word "truth"
per Merriam Webster Definition (though all the the dictionaries had the definition)

  •  :truth : the real facts about something : the things that are true
  •   So what does  Merriam Webster  have to say about the word true?
    • : agreeing with the facts : not false
    • : real or genuine

    •  Point?

    • Yeshua/Jesus is truth. Is true. Is the real and genuine deal. He's not just a man or prophet teaching us the truth. He is the truth.

    • Pretty awesome.

    • So in order obtain the Shalom/Peace and direction that we so desperately desire in life by serving and following Yeshua/Jesus...it is imperative that we get to know (*yada -understand root meaning below) him intimately.

    • Not just know about him. Not just serve him.
    • Actually get to know him like we know each other as family. As friends.

    • If this was at all enlightening to you, or spoke to you...please share with others.

    • If you don't know (yada) Yeshua/Jesus in this manner and would like to but don't know how...please contact me!
    • (Contact info in profile.)

No matter where you are in life.

  • No matter what you may or may not have.

  • He will change your life!
