He’s waiting

I wrote this about 15+ years ago. 

Inspired by my own busy life.

The Holy Spirit used this to change my own perspective about time.

No Matter how busy our life is, The Lord is always there waiting for us to come to him.

 Making Time

First thing in the morning; children running here and there,

The husband, needing your attention; a neighbor calls needing some care.

“It’s only seven in the morning,” with a sigh, you say out loud.

But your plea of exasperation is, drown-out by the noise of the crowd.

Before too long, it’s half past eight; you’ve just said your good-bye prayers.

The kids have all left for school. Your neighbor now knows you care.

With a sigh, you head for the kitchen. Put the water on for some tea.

Take a deep breath and think to yourself, “I could really use some time for me.”

With a tea cup in one hand, a good book in the other to read.

You find your favorite chair to sit down; and sure enough, someone calls with a need.

Before you know it, it’s three o’clock. The kids are home for the day.

Time for home-work, dinner; who knows what else. “No time for Mommy,” again you say.

So with a sigh, you resolve yourself; smiling, you open your arms wide.

Greet your children with a hug and kiss; and usher them all inside.

It’s now late in the evening; children running here and there.

“It’s nine o’clock in the evening,” with a sigh, you say out loud.

Someone already sitting there, having waited all day, patiently;

He greets you with these simple few words, “I thought you could use some time with me.”

“Oh LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”

Psalm 5:3

Because

I posted this poem before. However I felt as though I needed to post this again. 

These words are so powerful.

We live in day and age where it seems as though such a great many people, young and old; rich and poor, male and female alike, all seem to struggle with believing in themselves.

These are perilous days we live in. No doubt life can be overwhelming at times.

Just in my circle of friends I would say 50% of them are experiencing serious challenges in their life..
Facing deaths in families, terminal illnesses, job loss, divorce and more.

It can be hard to have faith sometimes. To believe we will actually make it.
It's good to know that someone has faith in us.

Because You Believe in Me

I am here.

You are here in me.

Because of this I know I can be;

all that you say you want me to be.

I’ve tried so many times.

I’ve climbed this mountain before.

I’ve done all that you’ve asked me to do.

I’ve lived through the things you’ve brought me through.

Here I sit, still;

waiting on you.

To make me all that you said I should be.

I don’t see how but I know that you will, because you believe in me.

You’ve always believed in me; the only one who ever believed in me.

With you all things are possible.

With you, before I see it, it’s done.

With you, before I’ve begun to fight, the battle is already won.

You are the Almighty and you are my God.

You are the Lord of Lords and you are my God.

You are the Creator of the world and you are my God.

You are Alpha and Omega; the beginning and the end and you are my God.

You are Jesus, Savior of the world; and you are my God.

Because you are the Omnipotent and Supreme One; what you say shall be done.

What you have said in fact is already done. Though my eyes do not see it yet, it is so.

I am already become what I do not even know.

Because you believe in me.

You believe in me.

You’ve always believed in me.

When there was nothing in me worth believing in;

still proudly you remained my friend.

Always there for me; looking out for me.

Because you are who you are; because you said it should be so;

I shall become that which I do not even know.

According to your good purpose I will act and grow.

I will become all that you have designed for me to become.

For you are God.

For you are my God.

I have trusted in you and you love me.

You have spoken, so it shall be. You have begun your good work in me.

You believe in me. You have already given your best for me.

Because you believe in me so much; now I believe in me.

Come, Finish your work in me.

Come...He's Calling You

Come

Come, walk by my side.

Come, there's no need to hide.

I've heard your cries for happiness.

I've seen you're search for peace of mind.

I've got something for you.

I can see you through.

Your road is rugged and treacherous.

Your heart needing to be renewed.

Come, walk by my side.

Come, there's no need to hide.

I see your heart. No you can't fool me.

I long to free you from your captivity.

I love you - with all of me.

Eternal love - unconditionally.

With my life I paid the price.

In anguish I cried your cries.

How can I make you see?

It's MY love that holds the key - to freedom from your misery?

Call to me....won't you call to me......call to me.

Come, walk by my side.

Come, there's no need to hide.

I'm here to love you, to be your friend.

To walk by your side 'till the very end.

So, come......walk by my side.....I love you.....Jesus

Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets
of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to me
and the other to my Lord.
When the last scene of my life shot before me
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
There was only on set of footprints.
I realized that this was at the lowest
and saddest times in my life.
This always bothered me
and I questioned the Lord
about my dilemma.
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, 
you leave me."
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
I love you and will never leave you
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints
It was then that I carried you."

Lord, I love you. More than I could ever express I love you. You show me in ways I don't understand how much you care for me. Unconditionally....you love me. You don't mock me. You don't judge me. You don't turn me away in anger. You love me. When everyone else has no time for me. YOU LOVE ME. YOU make TIME for me. YOU actually ENJOY me! You laugh at my silly jokes and warm my soul with your with your sweet Holy Spirit! 

When I think I can't take another minute! - - - YOU - YOU - swoop down from your throne and PICK ME RIGHT UP IN YOUR ARMS and LET ME KNOW ------You are still here by my side!!!! Just like you promised you would be! :)

You are NOT like everyone else.....YOU keep your promises......every one of them....and you have written them down for me to have; to be able to remind myself of them; to encourage myself daily! Oh THANK YOU!!!!

You are my rock -Your word is true!
Your promises are true and stand forever!
You have told me something and I believe it with JOY! I hold it in my heart!
I will see it come about for you have spoken it to me! You are NOT a man that you should lie!

Though the enemy encamps about my house;

Alone are the Lonely Ones in Deepest Despair

Silence captivates - in a loud unmanageable way
Road blocks of words - deafening stillness lay
Screaming whispers - of deepest despair

Every turn - each breath - every stare

Completely alone - in the midst of a crowd
Every touch point - loneliness surrounds 
You over there - Me over here
Alone are the lonely ones - in deepest despair

Oh how I remember - I was once, "the lonely one in deepest despair!"
No more!
I once felt, "alone in the midst of a crowd."
No more!
I once could not stay in a room without ambient noise of some kind, at all times because of the ‘screaming whispers’ of my past. Afraid of the deafening silence.
No more!
I have been set free!
Halleluiah! By the love of Jesus. I have come to receive the Amazing Grace of God and come to know Jesus our Messiah! Through him I have been set free from all the above. I no longer have to be afraid of my own thoughts.

Yes - Sometimes I feel so helpless, because as much as I remember what it was like to live in darkness and despair, (and I do remember) much of the time I feel so helpless. I feel as though I am so ill equipped to be able to adequately share with everyone just how incredibly, wonderfully, awesome, loving, gracious and beautiful the Lord has been and IS to me.
To be able to adequately share how he lifted me up (literally) from death's door. How he put a new song in my heart!!! 

Heaven Awaits

Warm, soft, strong,
His arms hold me close.
Tenderness, peace, love.
He speaks with His eyes.

Together in silence.
Face to face at last.
Tears of joy shed together.
No memory of my past.

A love to die for.
A death to live for.
The two become one.
My Lord and me.

Heaven awaits.

As Hard As It Is

 From every prayer I pray to every note I write.

Every song I sing with all my might.

For there is but one who knows the words I pray and why.
Only one who knows the motive for each note I send to cheer the passer 

It is only He, the same, the only one, who knows what powers my praise.
So it is only He alone I will honor with faith in all I do, for all my days.
I have already counted the cost and paid the price, come what may.
So stand I will, strong in faith. Let it be the foundation of all I do and say.
To God be the glory great things He has done!

"....If you do not stand firm in your faith,
    you will not stand at all."
Isaiah 7:9

You're All There Is For Me

Foxes have their holes Lord. Birds they have their nest.

But you say you have no place to rest.

Still I’ll follow you. Where ever you may lead.

For my Lord you’re all there is for me.

Still there are times I wonder. Can I keep pressing on?

The river’s flood keeps rising;

The fire’s burning strong;

Lord how long?

“Fear not I have redeemed you.

I have called you by name.

My child, whom I have chosen,

Whom I formed and whom I’ve made.

Do not fear for I am with you.

I am the LORD, ADONAI

Because you’re mine and I love you;

For, I AM God.”

I may not understand Lord; All you have for me.

But you say, "Don’t worry just believe."

So I’ll follow you Lord. Where ever you may lead.

For my Lord you’re all there is for me.

So let the river flow Lord. Let the fire burn.

You are God Almighty.

And I have your word.

You are with me.
