Come...He's Calling You

Come

Come, walk by my side.
Come, there's no need to hide.
I've heard your cries for happiness.
I've seen you're search for peace of mind.

I've got something for you.
I can see you through.
Your road is rugged and treacherous.
Your heart needing to be renewed.

Come, walk by my side.
Come, there's no need to hide.
I see your heart. No you can't fool me.
I long to free you from your captivity.

I love you - with all of me.
Eternal love - unconditionally.
With my life I paid the price.
In anguish I cried your cries.

How can I make you see?
It's MY love that holds the key - to freedom from your misery?
Call to me....won't call to me......call to me.

Come, walk by my side.
Come, there's no need to hide.
I'm here to love you, to be your friend.
To walk by your side 'till the very end.

So, come......walk by my side.....I love you.....Jesus

Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets
of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to me
and the other to my Lord.
When the last scene of my life shot before me
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
There was only on set of footprints.
I realized that this was at the lowest
and saddest times in my life.
This always bothered me
and I questioned the Lord
about my dilemma.
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
you leave me."
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
I love you and will never leave you
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints
It was then that I carried you."

Lord, I love you. More than I could ever express I love you. You show me in ways I don't understand how much you care for me. Unconditionally....you love me. You don't mock me. You don't judge me. You don't turn me away in anger. You love me. When everyone else has no time for me. YOU LOVE ME. YOU make TIME for me. YOU actually ENJOY me! You laugh at my silly jokes and warm my soul with your with your sweet Holy Spirit!

When I think I can't take another minute! - - - YOU - YOU - swoop down from your throne and PICK ME RIGHT UP IN YOUR ARMS and LET ME KNOW ------You are still here by my side!!!! Just like you promised you would be! :)
You are NOT like everyone else.....YOU keep your promises......every one of them....and you have written them down for me to have; to be able to remind myself of them; to encourage myself daily! Oh THANK YOU!!!!
I love you!!!! I love you....I love you!

You are my rock -Your word is true!
Your promises are true and stand forever!
You have told me something and I believe it with JOY! I hold it in my heart!
I will see it come about for you have spoken it to me!n You are NOT a man that you should lie!

You alone I will extol! You alone will I praise and sing a song of love to!
With my voice I will lift up thanksgiving to you and you alone!
For all that you have done for me!

Though the enemy encamps about my house;
I will not fear for you watch over me!
To keep me safe and all that you have given me!
God is for me; who can be against me?

Away from me you evil oppressors!
There is no room in my life for you!
I am His alone; the one who bought me with his life!
The lover of my soul; away all else I say; away!

Swoop down at his command; hosts of heaven.
Charge the oppressor! Defeat the enemy!
Secure the home of his beloved hand-maiden!
Let the Glory of the Lord come down!

Let the divine will of the Lord of Glory have it's way!
Halleluia! Amen! Halleluia! Amen!!!
I love you my Master and my friend; my Lord and my God!
With my life I will praise you!

The Importance of Obedience

I was reading this morning, in the word of God.  I feel compelled to share with you how I was touched and what I feel the Lord has showed me.

I was reading in 1 Samuel about Saul’s very brief time as King over Israel. There were a couple of things that struck me in this chapter.  As we know Saul found it hard to obey God and that is one of the points the Lord drives home in chapter 15, (the importance of obedience). We find one very popular verse in ch15, vrs22 “..to obey is better than sacrifice.”

The more I read and re-read this chapter it struck me how Saul seemed to try and manipulate the order of the LORD to fit his own desires. How Saul reasoned with Samuel. Arguing what he did in disobedience, he did for the LORD (vrs21)

While in the end it cost him his throne.

Vrs 28 “And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbor of thine, that is better than you.”

It seemed to me, Saul had gotten all too comfortable with the LORD’s mercy. As we see in vrs 24-27  Saul is desperate to have Samuel pardon his transgression, again. Even expecting it.

I know we have probably heard all this before, “The importance of obedience”. However, as I said in the beginning there were a couple of things that struck me as I read this chapter. The main thing being found at the end of vrs 35

“…and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.”

This broke my heart and as I read, I began to weep as I pictured in my heart the broken heart of the LORD.

How many times have I, have we, been given an assignment from the LORD, and taken off with it? (perhaps in excitement even)  Not stopping and taking the time to listen to that small still voice for instructions for the next step?

Or worse yet, how many times have we at one time or another, flat out disobeyed the LORD? Just tweaking His instructions ever so slightly, to fit our idea of what is best. Or changed things ever so slightly because it was more convenient at any given moment?

I began to think of all the times I myself had waited and put things off  the LORD had told to me to do. Even just waiting a few moments to carry out a directive.

I began to think about how the LORD had replaced Saul and thought to myself,  "How much longer will the LORD put up with MY disobedience before He replaces me?”

I began to wonder if my actions had caused the LORD’s heart to break and possibly caused Him to wonder if He had chosen the wrong person for the job?

I began to weep, in repentance and saw myself, not much better than Saul.

YES, we have Yeshua/Jesus.

Yes, we have the Blood of the Lamb and the Grace that flows from the throne. Yes, that grace is greater than any sin and the love of our heavenly Father is so pure and full and overwhelming.

Yes His arms are always open.
Yes He is a God of reconciliation.
Yes He is close to the broken-hearted
Yes He is here for you and me when we fall
Always
He is Always Here
That is why He created us
You and Me
To be here with us, for us
Through His Son He has made a way
Though we have sinned and lost our way
Through Yeshua, we can be with our creator still today

Still we are held accountable for that which we have received. Which means we should know better than to take advantage of God's precious Holy Spirit, by ignoring his voice.

What has the Lord asked of you?

Have you counted the cost?

Are you willing to follow his instruction without deviation?

That is exactly what this portion of scripture has prompted me to do.

I want a double portion.

God’s grace has made this available to us through his son Yeshua/Jesus.

I don’t want to break the Father’s heart.

Do you?

If you found this post at all encouraging. If it spoke to you in an encouraging way or prompted you to move forward in your walk with the LORD. Please join me in this prayer below.

Shalom!

LORD please forgive me for all the times I have ever neglected to hear and or listen to your beautiful small still voice. Forgive my recognized rebellion and my unknown disobedience. Please help me Holy Spirit to serve you honestly and whole heartedly without fear or intimidation and help me to know my place in your heart and your kingdom and help me help others to live accordingly and do the same. I love you LORD with all that I am and everything I have.

I am yours….AmyColleen

How do we pray ?

As an  intercessor I know this scripture like the back of my hand. Any believer that has a heart for prayer will agree that one of the key elements, when we pray, is the ability to see in the spirit and be able to discern. Whether we are praying on an individual or corporate level.

Discernment - where and how do we get this discernment?  Are we expected to rely on the discernment that is made available to us as believers by the Holy Spirit, as is?  How do we tap into this discernment? And why, if the Lord gives this gift liberally and without favoritism, do some seem to always hit the nail on the head and some just can't seem to ever get it right?

Ahh, the age old question.
I have heard soooo many answers to that question. Not one time have I ever been satisfied with an answer.  Until now.

One night on the way home from a prayer meeting, as I was mulling it over with the Lord. That's when all this started to come together.

I point blank asked the Lord why is there such a variance in the effectiveness of the prayers that are prayed by believers in the body of Messiah. Prayers that are prayed by true believers. Men and women of faith. Those that had walked with him for a long time and truly loved him, passionately.

*I would see a certain person pray with all their heart and not see much fruit. I would also then see another person pray,  though few words were spoken, it was as if an arrow from the bow of the Lord himself had taken flight to accomplish the very task the person has prayed for.
This wasn't just a one time deal. I have seen this happen time and time again.
So I asked the Lord about it.

This was his answer,

"Amy, It's not just about  discernment. It's also about  direction."

He went on to explain in detail.

"Imagine the first the second and the third heavens.
The first heaven consists of the earth and the atmosphere where the clouds and the birds of the air reside.
The second heaven is where the sun, stars and moon are. This is also where the rulers, authorities, the principalities and powers and spiritual dark forces of this world reside.
The third heaven is the highest heaven. This is where I dwell and all my heavenly angels. The highest heaven.
Now imagine two believers of the same tribe. Both have been tried and tested and have been found faithful.
I have given both of them the right to choose weapons to battle in prayer against the spiritual forces in the heavenly places.
One of them chooses a high powered automatic machine gun. This believer will be warring from the first heaven.
The other believer chooses a bow and a quiver full of arrows. I have this believer come up to the third heaven to sit at my feet and await my instruction.”
Then the Lord asked the question
“Which one of these intercessors do you think will be  most effective?
The one praying from the first heaven shooting with great power and might?
or
The one who is sitting at my feet who waits for my direct order before shooting their bow?”

Of course the answer was the one sitting at the feet of the LORD.

The believer shooting from the first heaven was simply shooting upwards ‘towards’ the second heaven. They are shooting into the battlefield blindly
They may or may not hit the intended target.

The Lord also pointed something out I had not ever thought about in this arena.

This believer, while praying with good intention, but without  the ‘precise direction’ of the LORD, may also have unintended casualties. (This being caused from the machine gun-shooting wildly into the heavens. Cause and effect of prayers that have been prayed.)
"For we know that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective." James 5:16
"For although we do live in the world, we do not wage war in a  worldly way; because the weapons we use to wage war are not worldly. On the contrary, they have God's power for demolishing strongholds." 2 Corinthians 10:3,4)

Our words hold power. Just because we know something, does not mean we are suppose to speak it forth.  This is using discernment.

Point
Both of these intercessors loved the Lord and had a heart to pray and further Gods kingdom.
Both had a zeal to move on behalf of the Lord in HIS work.

What the Lord was making clear to me here was that the one believer that he took with Him to the third heaven had the one thing that the other believer was missing.

Direction from the Lord.

This is something that is available to everyone with out prejudice.

For the LORD loves all the same.
He is no respecter of persons.

In fact, if we belong to Him, we are then seated with Him in the heavenly realm at the right hand of the Father.

For we have been crucified with Jesus our Messiah by faith. (Galatians 2:20) and in so we now are alive in Him. He having ascending into the third heaven and remains seated at the right hand of the Father. High above every ruler, authority, power dominion or any other name that can be named either in this age or in the age to come.”
Ephesians 1:21)

So how do we turn our machine guns in for a bow and arrow?

The answer is quite simple.

Come away with the LORD. Sit at his feet. Be quite and listen.

We need to get alone with God!

Only THEN will we be the effective prayer warriors that we long and need to be.

How can we know what the heart of the Father IS?

How can we go and do what he would have us go and do, if we can not hear His beautiful voice?

How will we recognize his beautiful voice if we never stop and sit and give him time to speak?

Speak Abba - speak. For your children are listening.
