I Can

Because You Believe in Me

I am here.
You are here in me.
Because of this I know I can be;
all that you say you want me to be.

I’ve tried so many times.
I’ve climbed this mountain before.
I’ve done all that you’ve asked me to do.
I’ve lived through the things you’ve brought me through.

Here I sit, still;
waiting on you.
To make me all that you said I should be.
I don’t see how but I know that you will, because you believe in me.
You’ve always believed in me; the only one who ever believed in me.

With you all things are possible.
With you, before I see it, it’s done.
With you, before I’ve begun to fight, the battle is already won.

You are the Almighty and you are my God.
You are the Lord of Lords and you are my God.
You are the Creator of the world and you are my God.
You are Alpha and Omega; the beginning and the end and you are my God.
You are Jesus, Savior of the world; and you are my God.

Because you are the Omnipotent and Supreme One; what you say shall be done.
What you have said in fact is already done. Though my eyes do not see it yet, it is so.
I am already become what I do not even know.
Because you believe in me.

You believe in me.
You’ve always believed in me.
When there was nothing in me worth believing in;
still proudly you remained my friend.
Always there for me; looking out for me.
Because you are who you are; because you said it should be so;
I shall become that which I do not even know.
According to your good purpose I will act and grow.
I will become all that you have designed for me to become.

For you are God.
For you are my God.
I have trusted in you and you love me.
You have spoken, so it shall be. You have begun your good work in me.
You believe in me. You have already given your best for me.

Because you believe in me so much; now I believe in me.
Come, Finish your work in me.

Question

How many times have we ourselves wondered why, or have we wondered why someone we love, just “doesn’t seem to get it”?
 Get…the blessing…….the revelations…..the miracles….the healings….the zeal….and in the end the JOY.

We read the word; go to church; do all the right things; and certainly we are born again…..or are we?
Are we truly born again of the spirit?

Perhaps one day long ago we met with our Precious Lord and Savior and fell in love…..but where are we now?

It’s time for a Skeptic Check.

The Skeptic Check?

What's that you say?

It simple scriptural easy way to see if we are either a doubter or a believer.

I love that saying Miracles happen to those who believe. I see it stemming from the truth that ~

“Every good gift and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:17

Back to the Gospel of John in ch3 vrs 11&12 Jesus says,
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, we speak what we do know, and testify that we have seen; and you receive not our witness. 12. If I have told you earthly things, and you believe not, how shall you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?”

Here is the quick and easy way to see if we are doubters or not:
(follow instructions)
1) Pray before you answer the question; ask the Holy Spirit to soften your heart.
2) Answer the question below.
Question

Do you believe God performs miracles in this day and age?

This is a literal question.

I realize that this can be considered a relative question, however I am asking in the most literal sense there is. As you see and hear of such things as medical, physical and material testimonials, do you believe that they are literally miracles from God Almighty above?

No-one but you and God will know your answer so be honest.

If you are, honest; you can experience a break through.
3) If you answered no to the question -
You are a doubter
Chances are if remain as you are you will not receive much more than you are right now from God.
You see Doubters are Skeptics
Skeptics don’t see miracles even when God gives them to them

Jesus puts it this way in John 3:11,
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, we speak what we do know, and testify that we have seen; and you receive not our witness.”
Therefore until the doubter is transformed into a true believer by being Born Again of the Spirit, they will not be able to understand the things of the spirit; vrs 12,
“If I have told you earthly things, and you believe not, how shall you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?”

So how does a doubter become a believer?

Well, if the doubter is a Child of God who simply has strayed away from their first love
They need only to repent and ask the Lord to revive thy soul once again.

The Word of God tells that,
“If we confess our sin, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1John 1:9

Our Lord desperately loves us and desires for us to be right with him.

If the doubter has never been Born Again of the Spirit and never tasted of the Love of our Precious Lord Jesus - then it is time to come! Receive the gift of life everlasting!

God’s Holy Word tells us in John 3:16,
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

And in Romans 10:9
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Jesus speaks to us many times in the scripture about the need to be "born again of the spirit" to be able to have full understanding of the spiritual things of God.

In the Gospel of John as mentioned above, Jesus talks to Nicodemus, a ruler to the Jews, religious Jews of that time.
In vrs 5-7 Jesus talks about being born again of the spirit; and the need to be born again of the spirit, in order to understand the things of the spirit. In talking to Nicodemus, Jesus points out in vrs7&10 that it is quite possible to be a ruler of the church and have little to no understanding in this area.
Vrs7 … “Marvel not that I said unto you, you must be born again,”
Vrs 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, (Nicodemus) “Art thou a Master of Israel, and knowest not these things?”
We must be Born Again of the Spirit to have understanding of God’s WORD. We can not understand its true meaning without the living interpreter (the person of Holy Spirit) abiding within us.

If you find that you are a doubter and would like to become a believer simply pray - talk to the Lord.
Tell Him just that. Lord, forgive my unbelief. Please help me believe.

I will leave you with a scripture I find most encouraging when I seem to find my own faith not nearly enough for what I am faced with.

Galatians 2:20
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

This is KJV - I love the way it says - ....The life I now live I live BY THE FAITH OF THE  SON OF GOD....
Not MY faith but HIS....Jesus faith.

I can not begin to tell you how much strength I have received by this scripture verse alone.

Shalom my dear friends and sisters & brothers in the Lord!
Be strong and take courage in these perilous times!
Our Messiah is coming soon!

Awe - it's not THAT bad

Sometimes you just need to rest.

In this crazy fast paced world in which we live this isn't always "possible". I do realize this.

However, never the less, sometimes there may be times when those things that are seemingly not possible must somehow become not only possible but a priority in our daily lives. If for no other reason than simply to provide us with enough of what we need today, to get us through until tomorrow.

"Yeah, yeah yeah," I can hear you all now, "I've heard it all before! But I don't have the time nor can I afford to take time off to rest."

I myself have said these very things not too long ago. Honestly though - did not even God himself REST? He took an entire day off.
Genesis 2:2 ".... so on the seventh day he rested from all his work."

In fact, the Lord God felt so strongly about this rest issue, He established in His law that we should always have a day of rest at least once a week....As the Holy Scripture shoes us in Leviticus 23:3
"There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the LORD.
(apparently God knew we would have a hard time taking time for ourselves to just rest, hmmmm?)

I am not by any means becoming legalistic here about the Sabbath. What day should we hold as Holy and what we can and can not do (i.e. what is considered work).

No! Not at all. That is not my point here.
I am simply trying to convey to you the "Grace" that our Lord has conveyed to me concerning "rest" in this busy life.

I would like to get a bit transparent here to make my point.

I love Yeshua, (Jesus) with everything I have. Every fiber of my being.....All I have I have given to Him and daily I pray that I am able to give Him more of me. That I am able to die to self more...that Holy Spirit will show me more of what needs to change in me so I can become more like Yeshua. So I can become more of a light to the world and more pleasing to my Heavenly Father...Papa God....I go sleep with Him on my mind and wake up with Him on my mind....spend all day talking to Him....reading His word when I can. I seriously...most honestly would not be able to survive without Him....my Saviour....Yeshua HaMashiach.

Yet...I live here in the world, just like you and everyone else. I have to handle and deal with the same issues - we all do.

Of course there is a great benefit to walking in the Spirit
- Gal 5:16 "I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."

But still, I am mortal - made of flesh and need to keep this in mind.
Case and point?
I take this to mean, among other things, that I am apt to fall apart if I don't take care of myself....We all are.

Did you know that God gave us an entire wonderful ~ healthy menu in the Bible?
As well as healthy lifestyle tips?

Yep!

We hear it all the time on T.V., from the doctors, in magazines, every where, "Eat right and get plenty of REST!"

Well, I just got thoroughly checked out by my doctor. It wasn't fun, several expensive uncomfortable tests; nor were the findings stellar either. I also have a long road ahead of me to recovery. Not to mention I am miserable physically, in the mean time.

The irony to all this......I have been told by my doctors that I need to REST.

At first I was upset when I heard that from the first doctor. I figured, "Just give me some anti biotics and all will be fine!"
Then the second doctor, not knowing the first doctor had suggested I take time off, said the same thing to me.

Neither doctor knew me well enough to know how I work and don't sleep but 5-6 hours a night.

Truthfully they didn't know about my personal stress level either.
What they did know was that my body had physically broken down.
I was happy enough but my physical body just broke down.

I haven't been resting.
Now I am paying the price.

You know that the Word of God tell us in Psalm 127 that
The Lord gives His beloved Rest?

Well.....I know I rambled on and on and on tonight. Probably didn't make a whole lot of sense.

I just felt like I just needed to encourage someone to
 let-go and let God
and
Get some REST.

Oh what a little Rest Can Do!

 Happy Rest in Yeshua!

WoW - who do we think we are?

So I am gonna share a real life story about something that happened about 27 years ago.

I was just heading home from work. It was about 2 o'clock in the after noon. I had my oldest son in the car with me, sitting in the front seat next to me. We were in my brand, spanking new car. It was literally only 2 weeks old. My first new car, ever.
We had stopped at a red light and now had started to turn left on a green left hand turn signal.
It was a loud, long horn blast that caught my attention.  I will never, ever forget that horn it saved my life and the life of my first born son.

The intersection was a familiar one. I passed through it every day. However this day when I heard that sound, it gripped my very soul and instantly  I slammed on my breaks with both feet as hard as I could.
In what seemed to be a split second and at the same time seemed to take an eternity a car came racing through the intersection and slammed right into us!
It was going so fast and hit so hard that it pushed our car sideways 3 car widths over!
The car took my bumper completely off and wrapped it around the passenger side tire.
The police investigator said the car was traveling at least 90+ mph and had I not stopped when I did, most likely would have killed me possibly my 5 year old son Joshua.

The driver of the car that hit us was an underage boy driving his "brothers" unregistered vehicle without permission and the vehicle was not insured.

Can you imagine?

I mean, my husband and I had three very young children. No money. We couldn't afford to pay for this. What were we going to do?

We were perfectly within our rights to pursue this legally. But we couldn’t afford an attorney. All we could do was pray and pray we did.
We asked ourselves.

What would Jesus do?
Before we had decided what to do the man who owned the car came to us. He basically begged us for mercy. Explained his situation and asked if he could make payment to us. My husband and I agreed.
We had mercy on him. The man agreed to pay a certain amount each pay day. Our car did not get fixed right away. I drove around in my brand new car with a bad bumper for a little while.
We had every right to pursue him legally. Instead we chose to show him mercy. But what a witness!

Perhaps we should learn from this situation?

Why am I sharing this 27 year old story now?

Because for some time now my heart has been so grieved as I look around within the Body of Christ and see how far away we are from this. There is such division between us.
In our families and homes. In our small groups. Our churches. Between denominations. We have allowed our adversary Satan to use us as dividing wedges…and it needs to stop!

The Lord himself commanded us to love each other. It is recorded in the Gospel of John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

LOVE - What IS LOVE?

Paul tells us what love is in

1 Corinthians chapter 13

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I know there is not one who is perfect but God himself.
Certainly not I.
Lately, though I have had such a heavy heart, more so than ever before as I have seen more and more divisions take place within the family of God. Within even my own homee. My own family. My own church.
This should not be!
Let there be no mistake - God is not happy about it!

There is absolutely no excuse good enough for it.
We are commanded and empowered to love. We are commanded and empowered to forgive.

And unless we do so we will not be forgiven by God nor will our gifts that we offer up to the Lord be accepted by Him.

Who are we to withhold mercy from anyone?
