Do Not Fear

91 Psalm

1 You who live in the shelter of ‘Elyon,
who spend your nights in the shadow of Shaddai,
who say to Adonai, “My refuge! My fortress!
My God, in whom I trust!” —
he will rescue you from the trap of the hunter
and from the plague of calamities;
he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his truth is a shield and protection.

You will not fear the terrors of night
or the arrow that flies by day,
or the plague that roams in the dark,
or the scourge that wreaks havoc at noon.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand;
but it won’t come near you.
Only keep your eyes open,
and you will see how the wicked are punished.

For you have made Adonai, the Most High,
who is my refuge, your dwelling-place.
10 No disaster will happen to you,
no calamity will come near your tent;
11 for he will order his angels to care for you
and guard you wherever you go.
12 They will carry you in their hands,
so that you won’t trip on a stone.
13 You will tread down lions and snakes,
young lions and serpents you will trample underfoot.
14 “Because he loves me, I will rescue him;
because he knows my name, I will protect him.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him.
I will be with him when he is in trouble.
I will extricate him and bring him honor.
16 I will satisfy him with long life
and show him my salvation.”

Amen

Are We Loving Them to Life or Loving Them to Death?

I had a vision or was it a dream? It was more like I was watching a movie.
Either way it was very vivid and powerful. Enough so that I felt the need to share.

It left me feeling convicted and challenged to take a really close look at how I am loving those around me. Those that I do not know.

Specifically asking myself the question,
"Am I loving these in the lost and dying world, to life or loving them to death?"

My hope in sharing this is that you will come away with this same self evaluation, with the ultimate goal of course being the salvation of those who are lost and dying.

The Vision

 You control the raging of the sea;

when its waves rear up, you calm them. Psalm 89:9

We (we being, myself and a huge body of people I knew to be believers in Yeshua - many I recognized and many I did not) we were on a huge ship. A ship like one you might see in an old movie with many, many sails on it. We were on the open ocean.  We were all wearing life jackets.
The waters were very rough.

We came across people in the water. They were tired and weary. Some to the point of drowning. None of them had life jackets on.
They were strangers to us. None of us recognized them. But we all agreed they would certainly die if we did not bring them aboard our ship and give them refuge.
So we brought them onto the ship.
They were not at all like us. Some believed in our God, but differently. Some had fallen away from God and some walked away years before choosing to live sinful life styles and some didn't believe at all.

Still we pulled them aboard because we knew they would certainly perish if we did not, as their boats had all capsized and they would not survive the rough water.

I saw everyone on the ship work together (this was wonderful to see!) to make sure these refugees had food, water and blankets. Some even shared their bunking areas so they would have a place to lay their wearing heads.

Then suddenly the waters began to grow rougher as the wind picked up. This time it was so rough even our huge ship began to toss to and fro on the mighty waves. The water began to splash over the bow of the ship. The crew in charge could not hold the course on their own any longer and began to cry out to their Senior Captain for his help!
Then all of the original passengers (the believers) began to pray for help from God as well, and I heard a loud voice,

 "Trust in ADONAI the LORD your God. Be at peace all you who have placed your life in His hands. Yeshua Hamashiach He who gave His life for yours."

At this point everyone on the ship was intermingled. The believers and non believers.
The life jackets (on those who had them) lit up like light bulbs....and a HUGE wave over took the ship.

This was so FIERCELY SCARY - within a split second we were safe on shore.

Those that we had pulled onto the ship - were all gone - just like that.
All that care.
All that love.
Meant nothing.

I was pulled from the vision backed to reality.

WoW I am still digesting this one.

I am not going to say too much about this as the Holy Spirit needs to do the talking to each persons own heart.

I will say this though.

What good does it do to love someone like this if we don't give them a life jacket?

If we feed them, clothe them, you name it ....but do not give them the words of life - lead them to Yeshua? (the life jacket)
Are we not just prolonging their death sentence?

Dear Lord please help me love like you...help me love to life.

"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do what my Father in heaven wants. 22 On that Day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord! Didn’t we prophesy in your name? Didn’t we expel demons in your name? Didn’t we perform many miracles in your name?’ 23 Then I will tell them to their faces, ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!" Matthew 7:21-23
