A lesson of two faiths
Jesus knew what He was doing when He did not show up in time to heal Lazarus and keep him from dying. It was all a part of a "greater good".
The story of the death and resurrection of Lazarus is found in John 11 - but these two verses 14&15 - say it all -
".... then he (Jesus) told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead, and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”
I call it "A more excellent lesson of faith".
In my life I have been learning by living the lesson of Abraham's faith. Giving up without a thought, that which is most precious to me unto the Lord - without question or regard - simply because he (GOD) has asked me to.
I have now been given a new revelation. A revelation of a higher faith. A lesson of sorts. One I refer to fondly as the Mary and Martha faith lesson.
I am certainly happy that I have (finally) graduated from the Abraham faith lesson...but this one has it's very own challenges .
I would like to share the awesome revelation of the wonder of the word - Holy Spirit shared with me....so someone else may also benefit from it.
Having just recently been put in a position in my life where I had no control what so ever to avoid a catastrophic relational heart break. One I can't even find the words in the human language to describe the pain it brought to me an still echos in my soul.
Being perfectly transparent here with you, I questioned God about how HE could let this happen.
What - "in the natural realm" (which is what we live in) seemed irreversible.
That's when Holy Spirit broke through and shared with me about Mary and Martha.
God, Jesus, knew all along that Lazarus was not going to make it. He not only knew this - He was planning to use this circumstance for a greater good. He even says to Mary and Martha, "Did I not tell you if you only believed you would see the Glory of God?" (John 11:40)
The same stands to reason for us who are in him....(Romans 8:28) "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
So, here I sit...no longer do I see death staring at me.
Instead I see NEW LIFE....For God makes ALL THINGS Beautiful it their time.
Sometimes it is necessary for something to die
before it can come to life in Jesus.
We as humans are so "finite"
it affects how we live, think and believe.
Truth?
We are not of this world - we are only passing through.
We need to start and continue thinking, believing and living with our spirit man.
We need to see with spirit eyes.
Listen with spirit ears and expect answers to come in spirit timing.
Meaning?
The impossible can happen.
When we pray in accordance with God's will he answers.
What is impossible for man is possible with God.
No matter how it looks.
Even if it looks dead.
Believe.
God always keeps His word.
