In Light of Mother's Day

This is a Poem I wrote in Honor of My Mother.

I put this up every Mother's Day

In Loving memory of My Mother

Good Memories

By: Amy Colleen

I remember the swing in my neighbor’s yard.
It hung down from a big oak tree.
I remember my friend Buddy,
Meeting me there and swinging along side of me.

I remember my Daddy sitting with me,
Faithfully, each and every night,
I remember him saying my “Good-night” prayers,
I remember his kiss before he shut out the light.

I remember writing my first worship song.
I was, but a wee little child.
I remember how my Mommy sat and listened.
I remember when she said, “I love it!” with a smile.

I remember when I got lost one day.
My Mommy found me and made me an egg.
I remember how she made me feel so loved
By the little things she took the time to say.

I remember when I had no hope
When I gave up on life itself;
I remember when Jesus called out my name
I remember when he heard my cry for help.

I remember all the joy Jesus brought me.
I remember all the peace.
I remember all the healing,
And all the sweet release.

I remember when I first met the man,
The father of my sons,
I remember when I just knew
That he was the only one.

I remember when Joshua was born,
Jeremy and Jacob too;
I remember all the joy I felt
How it filled me through and through.

💗

I remember when my heart was pierced
Beyond my ability to cope;
I remember how my precious Lord
Came to me and brought me glorious hope.

I remember when I thought that I
Would never see my sons again;
Jesus took control for me;
made things better then.

I remember when I met the man
I saw in my dreams of past.
I remember how I loved him so.
How I promised my love to last.

I remember when my joys were born.
My precious daughters whom I love,
Lauren Danielle and Kelly Woo;
such gifts of love from above.

I remember all these good times
I remember some bad as well.
I just choose to magnify the good ones.
And choose not on the bad, to dwell.

My mother, a great woman, whose life was very hard,
Always said to me as a child,
“Learn to remember the good things you’ve had,”
“And you’ll live a long, long, while.”

I’ll always love you Mom

For Mother's as Mother's Day Approaches

OUR CUP OVER FLOWS

As Mother's Day approaches this weekend. I am reminded of my mom and something she used to say to me as a mother to a mother.
 She would say,
“Amy, remember to always count your blessings and not your worries!”

Psalm 23:5
"You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
       You anoint my head with oil;
       my cup overflows."

In these days that we live in it can definitely be difficult sometimes recognize this fact. With all the stress of everyday living, broken homes, blended families, the economy issues, social issues with our children, unemployment, mothers working two jobs, being after school sports taxi and medic AND being wives and taking care of mom or dad....let's face it it's anything but easy to find those "blessings" that are supposedly "overflowing".....but surely as life goes on...day in and day out...they are there!

God has poured blessings out on each and every one of us. Bountifully poured them out!
I truly believe if we would each just take a moment to sit down and write them down, we would be amazed.
I just sat here for a minute or two before I started writing this blog and came up with -
My husband, my five awesome kids, my grandbabies, my home, my brothers and sisters in the Lord,
my incredible relationship with Yeshua. I could keep going on and if I kept going on,
I realize more and more blessings!
That's how it is.
The more I I think about my blessings, the more I realize my blessings.

That's the key. Realizing my cup is running over. Then, when I realize it is running over, that's when I can be a blessing to others and in turn the blessings will come back to me!
THEN I will be brimming with the Joy of the Lord and I will be full of His Strength!
😁
~so~
How can we get to a place where we can thank God for these blessings?
The ones we are having a hard time even seeing?

Well, as the body of Messiah; we praise and serve the Lord together
We support fellow church leadership together; we encourage and lift each other up. We take care of our family, friends and neighbors on a daily basis.
 Let’s face it…..we are tired.

How can we begin to thank God for our blessings when we are so very exausted?
The first thing we need to do is realize
that our cup does in fact over flow with “blessings”
from God.

That all those wonderful things in our life. i.e. things you listed on our sheet are in fact “blessings” and “gifts” from God, and not just obstacles in our day to keep us busy and get us frustrated.
Then we need to begin to Praise God for all that he has given us.
Acknowledging that all we have be given is for him.
“For it is God who works in you to will and act according to HIS good pleasure.” Phil. 2:13

The blessings we receive must overflow into the lives of others. It is our calling to be vessels that carry God’s love to as many people as possible. No matter where we are, what we are doing in life; whether we  are called to be a stay home mom or a business executive, a railroad worker or a perhaps a student who isn’t quite sure where they are headed in life yet.
Rest assured there is always someone in our life who needs a touch from God; who needs a little love; and needs it from us.

I heard this example once and I thought it was cute and relevant.

The Christian Life is like a game of UNO – what you have in your hands at the end of the game counts against you.

Of course life isn’t a game, but Yeshua did speak to us in the Gospels by way of a parable about the Master and his servants (Matthew 25:15); how he left for a season and gave to each of them a certain amount of talents and expected them to make good use of them while he was away.

We as followers of Yeshuaq must learn to give excellently. Whether by serving fellow brothers and sisters in the Body of Messiah by lending a helping hand, or just taking time out of our busy schedules to encourage someone with kind words, a card; a phone call, perhaps a home visit. This doesn’t just extend to the Body of Messiah either; reaching out to the lost is so important.
A simple kind word or a smile can change a life.
* Yeshua said in
Matt 25 “What you have done unto the least of these you have done unto me.”
Giving of ourselves to others is worship to God and pleasing to him.
Gal. 6:2   tells us to carry one another’s burdens.
Isn’t that what Yeshua did for us?
In 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 it says that in the comfort that we have first received we should comfort others. I have found that there were many times I thought “I” needed to be comforted, but there was someone who needed it more than I and when I gave of myself to that sister I too found the comfort I needed. I think sometimes we forget that we are the living Body of Messiah. We need each other.
When one cup is running low we need to run to each other and help each other out.

God is glorified when we love and serve one another.
Because it is proof of our longing to be like Him.

We can love because He first loved us.

We can be a blessing because He first blessed us.

We can give our life to others because He first gave His life for us.

The more we give the more we receive.

Our cup truly overflows.

 2 Corinthians 1 :2-7

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the LORD Yeshua Messiah.
The God of All Comfort
Praise be to the God and Father of our LORD Yeshua Messiah, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Messiah flow over into our lives, so also through Messiah our comfort overflows. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

A special poem just for Mothers

Making Time

First thing in the morning; children running here and there,

The husband, needing your attention; a neighbor calls needing some care.

“It’s only seven in the morning,” with a sigh, you say out loud.
But your plea of exasperation is, drown-out by the noise of the crowd.

Before too long, it’s half past eight; you’ve just said your good-bye prayers.
The kids have all left for school. Your neighbor now knows you care.

With a sigh, you head for the kitchen. Put the water on for some tea.
Take a deep breath and think to yourself, “I could really use some time for me.”

With a tea cup in one hand, a good book in the other to read.
You find your favorite chair to sit down; and sure enough, someone calls with a need.

Before you know it, it’s three o’clock. The kids are home for the day.
Time for home-work, dinner; who knows what else. “No time for Mommy,” again you say.

So with a sigh, you resolve yourself; smiling, you open your arms wide.
Greet your children with a hug and kiss; and usher them all inside.

It’s now late in the evening; children running here and there.
The husband, needing your attention; a neighbor calls needing some care.

“It’s nine o’clock in the evening,” with a sigh, you say out loud.
But your plea of exasperation, is, drown-out by the noise of the crowd.

Before too long, it’s half past ten; you’ve just said your good-night prayers.
The kids have all gone to bed; your neighbor now knows you care.

With a sigh, you head for the kitchen; put the water on for some tea.
Take a deep breath and think to yourself, “I could really use some time for me.”

With a tea cup in one hand, a good book in the other to read;
You find your favorite chair to sit down; and much to your surprise you see ~

Someone already sitting there, having waited all day, patiently;
He greets you with these simple few words, “I thought you could use some time with me.”

“Oh LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”
Psalm 5:3

Be Blessed This Mother's Day
💗
As you take some "me time" to sit with the Lord and let Him dote on you!
Shalom,

Full Circle - A long road it has been, still the circle is not yet complete.

The Long Road

I am created
Warmth surrounds me - pounding heavy drum beats - comfort as each breath inhaled -  the life God chose to use as the cloth from which He knit my individual being - developed day by day

I am loved - I am perfect - completely unaware of what awaits me - created by God placed here by his choice

I am born
Cold chaos - surrounds - sudden brightness  - noise over powering - comforting heartbeats -  separation from the life God chose to use as the cloth from which He knit my individual being

Innocence lost
Trust encircles innocence -  deepening fear - hoovering round my ankles - demons dressed like adults - showering affection - secretly stealing life - nothing left that resembles the cloth from which God knit my individual being

I don’t feel loved- I don’t feel perfect - completely unaware of what awaits me - why did God created me?

Growing up
Alone - crying - hungry in the middle of a crowd - forgotten heart beats - pounding in my head - screaming in my pillow - nightmares in the daytime - wishing I were dead

Crossing over
Deafening sounds of piercing cries - pounding heavy drum beats - fear - each breath inhaled - draws closer death - to the life God knit - my individual being

I don’t want to die -  I hate my life - please if you are real hear my cry

New Life
AmyColleen - Beloved Hand Maiden
“I am here and I do love you”
Bright light - warm soft breeze - surrounding me - drops of rain filling my soul - I am His I know I am clean I am  loved

When I was 16 I gave my life to the Lord Yeshua. After a rough time of it, even for back in those days. I had been through allot for a 16 year old. I shudder even now when I think back on it. I asked the Lord Yeshua to come into my heart and forgive me of MY sin and I forgave those that had sinned against me. I also asked Him to baptize me in His Holy Spirit. I have NOT been the SAME since! Yes life is hard. The Word of God promises us that! The Lord causes it to rain on the just and unjust alike. The Word says that  A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;” Psalm 34:19
I am much older now. I have grown kids of my own. Life is surely not what I expected. Praise the Lord!
For the first time since I knew (when I was a small child) I feel good about myself.

I am loved - I am not perfect - completely unaware of what awaits me - created by God for His glory and His purpose

Married Life
Fantasy revealed - dreams - reality births passions of siblings love and hate. Trust and loyalty never had a shot - the cloth from which God knit my individual being

I don’t feel loved - I am not perfect - completely unaware of what awaits me - created by God for His glory and His purpose - God please help me

Motherhood
Overwhelming joy and love - warmth surrounds me - again I hear the drum beats this time it’s much faster - comfort with each breath I inhale - the life God chose to use as the cloth from which He knits my babies individual being - developed day by day.
I stand cradling my tummy ….and remember....as if I could almost ….remember...being where you are.
The moment I saw you - eyes full of tears - heart full of love - I drew you close to my breast - Held you tight through the night.- Told you everything would be alright - You were the joy in my day - The smile on my face - You still are.

Adulthood
Warmth surrounds me - sounds of heavens angels singing - comfort as each breath I breathe I know -  the life God chose to use as the cloth from which He knit my individual being - I will once again soon see - life's full circle continuing day by day

In HIS eyes - I am loved - I am perfect - completely unaware of what awaits me - created by God placed here by his choice

Grandparent-hood
Overwhelming joy and love - I have been here before - not like this - so much love - so much joy - again I hear the drum beats - pounding heavy drum beats - comfort as each breath inhaled -  the life God chose to use as the cloth from which He knit my individual being - complete - so complete - as this tiny little swaddle lays against my chest - so loved - so perfect - completely unaware of what awaits her - created by God - placed here by His choice

The Forgotten Word

Holiness. That is not a word we hear too very often these days. When we do, it seems as though it is smothered, covered or otherwise decorated with other words. So much so that by the time it (the word holiness) actually reaches our ears, our hearts, our souls, our spirits; the magnificent, simple, gut wrenching, life changing, convicting power of the word 'holiness' seems to have completely disappeared. Completely lost all of it's intended purpose.
So what IS it's intended purpose of this word?
Well, the word holiness is a 'God' word. Meaning it was established by almighty God to describe Himself. As well, to describe how his people should seek to live their daily lives.
We were created to have a relationship with our creator.
This is our sole purpose in life. From this, our relationship with our creator, does everything else derive it's commission.
Does this sound so unrealistic?
Our creator desiring to have a relationship with his creation?
Not to me.
Although there have been a great many objections that come in the way of a smooth relationship between us and our creator. All of which have stemmed from sin.

Our creator, God Almighty, in all His Holiness, made a way for us to continue having a relationship with Him, should we choose to do so. As He had originally planned since the beginning.
Through sacrificing His beloved Son Yeshua, to pay for the sin of the world and bridge the gap between us and Himself. Allowing for ALL to come back to God, our Creator and have an everlasting relationship with Him!
This is where Holiness comes in.
It is a wonder and an awe. Absolutely MIND BOGGLING to me what God has done for us!
We don't deserve it! What God has done for us. I know I wouldn't have done it. Would YOU?
Would you have given YOUR child to die a horrible death for millions of people that would end up spitting on Him and cursing Him and rejecting Him and you?
But thankfully I am not God.
I do wish to be in His presence, though and I do wish to see Him and see His Glory.
The word of God is very clear about what we need in our lives to taste of these good fruits.
Yeshua/Jesus told us in on the sermon on the mount,
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God."
In Ezekiel God says of Himself...
"I the LORD am the Holy One in Israel."
and Apostle Peter reminds us in ch 1:16
"But just as he [God] who called you, is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written:
"Be holy, because I am holy."

The Word of God, the Holy Scripture is pack loaded full of scripture after scripture of exhortation and encouragement, ways that you and I as believers can come before our Lord and "taste" of His Holiness. "taste" of His glory!

Do we wonder why our time with God is dry -un-moving, seemingly even, un-glorious?

Why we only seem to experience times of God's powerful anointing in corporate praise and prayer sessions? And not in our personal prayer closets?
Perhaps it's time to look deep inside our hearts.

If this is you - I encourage you to take time out of your busy day, to just sit and listen to your heart.

Ask the LORD to speak.
"Lord, speak, for your servant is listening."

You are all wonderful and I love you tons!
AmyColleen

Alone with God

Alone with God
Quaking, shaking, crying
On my face
Holy, holy, holy

Nothing else
Only holy, only holy
Nothing else
Only holy, only holy

Sudden hush of glory
Peace, quiet, stillness,
On my face
Holy, holy, holy

Nothing else
Only holy, only holy
Nothing else
Only holy, only holy

Voice of God speaks
Small, quiet, mighty
Enters my soul
Heals, delivers, instructs

Heaven comes down
Humbled, thankful, jubilant
Angelic voices singing
Holy, holy, holy

Nothing else
Only holy, only holy
Nothing else
Only holy, only holy

I join in
On my face
Sing
Holy, holy, holy

Nothing else
Only holy, only holy
Nothing else
Only holy, only holy

Alone with God

Lost in Him

Something I realized today...

The more lost I get get in Him the less I find myself realizing that I am in another place ~ a distant place ~ a place many don't understand ~ some find odd ~ and some altogether completely avoid.

Still....I find it doesn't seem to matter to me that I find myself in this place, often times alone...with only my Lord by my side. I am completely satisfied....at peace....happy.

Lost in Him

God Loves You With an Everlasting Love 🦋

God loves you with an everlasting love.

WHY?

Because HE is eternal.
HE is the Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end.
HE is ETERNAL. God knows no other way to love but eternally.

God loves you unconditionally and completely and will stop at nothing to make sure you understand this truth.

WHY?

Because He already has already given His best for you. He can give you no less.

God has given His very best, His very own beloved son, as a sacrifice to atone for the sin of ALL humanity. The first human to the last.

WHY?    Because ........

YOU are beautiful to God.

You ARE beautiful to God.

You are BEAUTIFUL to GOD.

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL TO GOD.

God, the creator of the universe......the stars the moon and beyond....all the beauty that there is ....all the GOOD there is and was and ever will be....HE longs to know you....He longs to talk with you.......and share with you HIS love.....HIS peace...."pure" love and a peace that the world does not understand and a peace the world can not give nor can it take away, with YOU!

Satan....the deceiver....has lied to you. He has brought you great grief in your life. Fear has filled your heart....gripped your soul and you have believed all that he has told you.....that it is too late to find peace of mind and that God would have nothing more to do with you.

This is NOT TRUE!

****From Heaven a cry comes forth****
“I am God...and I love you! I sent MY only begotten Son, Yeshua into the world to be a sacrifice, once for all. To bring life where there was death! For all who believed in Him for the forgiveness of their sin.”

All you need to do is believe!

Believe! Receive!

God loves you. ❤️
Come to Him and live! 🦋

A Pro Life Poem For Dad's

In a time when mothers are fighting for the "right" to murder their babies. Their own flesh and blood.

I thought I would post this poem I wrote YEARS ago for a
Crisis Pregnancy Center on Father's Day.

Thank You Daddy

Thank you Daddy for letting me live, for letting me learn to smile and give. Thank you Daddy for not taking from me,  the chance for life and liberty.
I know it was hard, but Daddy you’ll see, that when I grow up you’ll be proud of me, ‘Cause I’ll be like you and Mommy too. I’ve got the spirit of life to see me through.

I used to hear Mommy and feel her tears. She would cry so hard and tremble with fear; as you would speak of “what was best”.  Defending your life;  defending my death. I tried so hard. My mouth opened wide. But there was no sound as I cried and cried. ”Mommy!…Daddy!…Pleasssse listen to me. I’m alive and living! Don’t kill me!”

I didn’t give up because you couldn’t hear me. Instead I asked God to make you see; that my life was precious in His sight.  That if I were born things would be alright.

Then in sudden sweet surprise, I felt a spirit of peace arise. I could hear Mommy’s voice.
She was talking to me. Laughing and crying, joyously. “My baby! My baby!”  I heard her say,
“Your Daddy says that you can stay!”

Oh thank you Daddy for letting me live!  For letting me learn to smile and give.
Thank you Daddy for giving to me,  my chance for life and liberty!

Don't be such a fool!

Fools say in their hearts,

There is no God.”
They deal corruptly, their deeds are vile,
not one does what is right.

From heaven Adonai observes humankind

to see if anyone has understanding,
if anyone seeks God.

But all turn aside, all alike are corrupt;
no one does what is right,
not a single one.

Don’t they ever learn,
all those evildoers,
who eat up my people as if eating bread
and never call on Adonai?

There they are, utterly terrified;
for God is with those who are righteous.

You may mock the plans of the poor,
but their refuge is Adonai.

How I wish Isra’el’s salvation

would come out of Tziyon!
When Adonai restores his people’s fortunes,
Ya‘akov will rejoice, Isra’el will be glad!

  Psalm 14

When God restores his people,
let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
Psalm 53

How WoNdErFuL are your works oh God!

Signs of the times.

This is a teacher I really like and respect.
Dr. and *Rabbi Baruch Korman

This is part one of his teaching on Genesis chapter 7 about
Noah and God.

It's not your typical 2 by 2 teaching and it's 53 minutes long.
I believe it is worth every minute of your time if you choose to listen.
If you do - please listen to the end.

Shalom
