I have heard it said (from leaders in the churches) that it is "necessary" to enlist these ridiculous antics while sharing the gospel of Jesus with the world and well those that apparently are already professed followers of Jesus himself but just can't seem to muster the desire to make it to church on Sundays.
Hmmm
I have also heard it said that these type of services are great because they reach "everyone" regardless of where they come from in life. (I will add, where they are going in life as well....because several of these people are living in a lifestyle of sin and have no desire to change that. Sadly from what I have observed in many cases because they have no knowledge of the need to change At least from the support groups within their church.)
Okay - this is why I am blogging about this.
I find this to be absolutely outrageous!
Who do we think we are that we think we need to
"assist" God or otherwise "edit his plan of love and salvation for the world"?
Is it flagrant pride?
Or is it just plain laziness and disobedience that we cannot get up and GO!
As the LORD command us to ???
Have we instead found ways to extort money and time from every congregant, making promises we can't keep, hiding behind walls of empty busyness, dressing ourselves in fine linens and jewelry, bought with money meant for suffering saints and STILL disobeying the small still voice of the LORD?
Holiness.
Does anyone even know what that means anymore?
There is none Holy but you oh G-d.
None can enter into your presence....none without the Blood of Lamb as a covering.
Yeshua.
The audacity of the Pastors and leaders of the churches of today.
To think that we need to help G-d.
That we need to edit His Gospel.
Lord have mercy on us all.
I have yet to find any scriptural foundation for the necessity of the "sermon show".
Instead there are many more scriptures to support quite the opposite.
Here are just two of them.
"For a time will coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather round themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear."
2 Timothy 4:3
“Go in through the narrow gate; for the gate that leads to destruction is wide and the road broad, and many travel it; but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it. - Matthew 7:13-14
Personally,
I am glad I am a part of a congregation that does not believe it needs to
"assist" God or otherwise "edit his plan of love and salvation for the world"
While at the very same time I feel heartbroken for so many who are being lead {astray} while they truly believe they are being lead down the narrow path to life.
Shalom in Yeshua
