Tin Soldier

Your Tin Soldier is waiting for you
He just stands here every day
In the same place where you left him
I see him every time I come to pray

This is my pray chair and
your Tin Soldier stands here next to me
By default and by divine order
How ever you choose to see

But when I look at him, I pray for you
I wonder how you are
I thank the Lord you are still so close
even though you seem so far

I always thank the Lord for you
ask for his blessings and love
but today really he stirred my heart
with extra thoughts from above

As I sit and look at your Tin Soldier....as I think of you....I noticed something about this soldier.

I see a helmet covering his head - the Helmet of Salvation (referenced in Ephesians 6:17)
I see a breast plate covering his chest - the breast plate of righteousness covering his chest. (referenced in Ephesians 6:14)
I see the Tin Soldier holding a small Bible which is  the Sword of the Spirit. - (referenced in Ephesians 6:17),

What I haven't seen and still don't see on the Tin Soldier....is a Belt around it's waist - (referenced in Ephesians 6:14) It is referenced as The Belt of Truth....and IN Fact is the first item mention in the list.
I also notice that though the Tin Soldier has two pieces of metal on the end of his legs they are unfinished and he is after all not a  live person. So where it says in the scripture,
"have your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace." (referenced in Ephesians 6:15) That is the other item missing in the armor of this Tin Soldier.

Now I realize this is just a "Tin" Soldier I am looking at...(and not a live person)...However, sometimes and quite often frankly in our live, the Lord can and has IN MY life used things, objects, jobs, people....to point things out.

Are we wearing the FULL ARMOR of GOD?

If any ONE piece is missing....it could cost us our life ....or the lives of someone we love.

Shalom!

The Armor of God (NIV)
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

So You think you KNOW God?

"You, God, are my God,
   earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
   where there is no water.
I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
   my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you."
Psalm 63

Take me up oh Lord! Take me up!
To our place where you and I meet. Where you share with me the mysteries of your Word. Here I sit, Oh Lord. Here I sit and wait on you. I am still...and quiet...waiting on you...to speak.
Speak, for your hand maiden is listening.

When was the last time you have just sat in the stillness of the night (or day) and waited on the Lord? In God's Holy written Word He tells us in Psalm 46:10 to,
"Be still, and know that I am God...."

Do you know God?

This verse has been so heavy upon my heart!! I would like to share wit you and welcome  your input!!!

First...

I would like to make note of the words still and know.

First the word still comes from the Hebrew word for abated ~ Raphah (raw-faw') which means to sink down, drop relax or withdraw.

Next is the word know which comes from the Hebrew word ~ acknowledge ~ Yada' (yaw-dah') Which means, "to know, learn to know" and to know by experience." (personally)

So, this is my wonder, how can we say we know God if we never take time to sit and be still in His presence?

We can read about Him

We can pray to Him.

We can even worship Him.

But that doesn't necessarily mean we know Him

That just means we know ABOUT Him.

Where is YOUR quiet place with the Lord?

Do you have one?

Any ol' place will do.....the Lord is just waiting for you.

One Body with Many Parts

The Enemy surely knows his time is running short!
I have noticed more and more divisions are creeping in between the brethren.
I thought this a perfect time to re-post this! it is time I re-post this.

My Pastor had a vision he shared with me. Turns out it is very similar to a vision I have had in my heart as well. To see the Body of Messiah in the greater region of where we live come together as ONE Body, international fellowship, without walls.

Glorious! Simply Glorious!
Truly what the Lord has intended since the beginning!

I thought I would share a poem I wrote about the Body of Messiah.
I hope you enjoy and are blessed by it!

Shalom!

1 Corinthians 12:12-14 (New Living Translation)

"12The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Messiah. 13 Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit."
