Hunger Games - The Movie

NOT a Movie for THE TRUE FOLLOWER OF JESUS to SEE -

OR 


FOR ANY CHRISTIAN TO CAST THEIR EYES UPON!

If you see that movie it will take you a VERY LONG time to get it OUT OF YOUR SPIRIT. I assure you! It is sick - sick - sick.

IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE, OR HAVE READ THE BOOKS - you know what I am talking about. 

I heard a long interview with the director and producer this morning. Which frankly made me quite ill. It is only rated pg13 and should be R at the least!

The very premise of this movie is SICK and makes me want to vomit!

We as Americans are out raged at the thought of African children fighting for their homes and lives IN REAL LIFE and YET we will watch a glorified tale of children 12 - 18 fighting to the death....full of blood and death! CHILDREN. And yet we as a society have NO PROBLEM with this?
And the director/producer when asked said pg13 was the appropriate rating BECAUSE "The movie, although bloody and violent like the 3 books, is not AS VIOLENT as the books." The producer went on to say that if you don't like violence then don't go.

BUT HOW MANY people/parents HONESTLY know what this book, movie is really about? and will even KNOW their child is going?

WE as a human race are supposed to be GROWING AWAY FROM THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR - or so I thought. Yet we are now cheering it on and TRAINING UP OUR CHILDREN TO love AND adore THIS BEHAVIOR IN OUR wide screen surround sound?

WHAT? Are we SO FICKLE that the witch craft of Harry Potter and Twilight Saga - Vampire Saga - Sex in the Cities just isn't cutting it?
Or is it that we as a society have reached that extra level of de-sensitivity? Where NOTHING bothers us. We have become like junkies to perverse sinful pleasures and so used to hearing gross, outrageous news that it races through our minds in and out our ears like water off a ducks back.

Be all this as it may - heart breaking as it is - WE, THE BODY OF CHRIST- GOD'S PEOPLE - Do NOT have to be party to this type of living/thinking.

Jesus tells us -

"Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. " (Taken from Luke 11:33-36)

So I implore you my precious brothers and sisters in the Lord DO NOT pollute your spirit!!!! Especially at this tender time!! The enemy will most certainly use it.....against you!

Do you need some PEACE?

In light of the turmoil in the world right now. All the calls and e-mails I get from friends asking for prayer for themselves and loved ones who "just can't take it anymore".

 I thought I would share this bit O' wisdom.

I truly believe it is on Papa God's heart and right now ever more so - many need to hear it!

The Lord CARES about YOU!

No matter WHERE you ARE NOW....WHERE you HAVE BEEN.

If YOU KNOW HIM and are feeling desperate or lacking...CAST YOUR CARE UPON HIM FOR HE CARES FOR YOU!

If you KNEW HIM and have WANDERED AWAY....IT'S TIME....COME HOME.

There is NO CONDEMNATION in HIM....HE LOVES YOU....with HIS LIFE!!!

HE gave it up for you as a sacrifice once for all....and His mercy is new every day.

NOTHING is TOO BIG to be COVERED and CLEANSED by the Blood OF Yeshua/Jesus!

It is Time to Have Some PEACE!

The kind of peace that ONLY God can give!

The kind of Peace God gives....the World can not TAKE away.

How great is peace!


Now I know that peace is the climax of all things in this world; but how do I know that it is to be so in the World to Come?


It is said, [in Isaiah 66:12], "Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river." The Rabbis said, "Great is peace, seeing that when the King Messiah comes, he will publish peace, as it is said [in Isaiah 52:7], "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace." (Leviticus Rabbah 9:9)


Commentary


Now this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings which shall be presented to the LORD. (Leviticus 7:11)


Peace offerings are the sacrifices that are shared by the worshiper and the priesthood. In Leviticus 7, the Torah reiterates the laws of the peace offerings, adding details about which parts of the animal are to be retained by the priesthood, who is fit to eat a peace offering, how quickly the meat has to be eaten and what to do if not all the meat is eaten by the deadline. A peace offering could be eaten by anyone, anywhere, so long as that person was in a state of ritual purity when he or she ate it.


The Torah lists several different types of peace offerings, including votive offerings brought in fulfillment of vows, freewill offerings and the thanksgiving offering. The Passover Lamb was also a type of peace offering.


Peace offerings, however, were never brought for sin. They do not atone or expiate. Instead, the peace offerings represent relationship, fellowship and peace between God and man. Eating of the peace offering was like eating from God's own table. When a person is not at peace with God, he has no peace. God is the absolute subject of reality, so to be at war with God is to be at war with reality.


Human beings often live unhappy lives as we flee from pain and pursue pleasure, trying to find comfort in the material world.


A person does not realize that the reason for his constant angst is that he does not have peace with God.


When a man does not have peace with God, he cannot have peace with himself or with others.


He rages at those who tread on his dignity or offend his pride, and he justifies his own actions at the expense of relationships with his friends and family. He uses other people to try to prop up his fragile ego. He attempts to slake his thirsty soul with vices and to satisfy his fleshly appetites with indulgences, but all of it is useless.
Unless we have peace with God, there is no peace.


"'There is no peace for the wicked,' says the LORD" (Isaiah 48:22).




The good news is that there can be peace with God.


The Apostle Paul says, "While we were [still God's] enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son" (Romans 5:10).


God wants peace with human beings more than human beings want peace with one another. That is why He gave His Son as a sacrifice—a peace offering between God and man.

It's True You Know

EVERYONE'S Going to LIVE FOREVER 

 Questions is 

 WHERE will your Spirit end up living for eternity?

THE CHOICE IS OURS 

Will WE live eternity with loved ones in eternal peace with our creator? - OR - WILL WE LIVE in eternal TORMENT separated from everyone we know and love - in total darkness for ALL ETERNITY?




 

 Again

THE CHOICE IS OURS  

Where do YOU wish to spend the rest of eternity when you leave this earth?

As long as we have breath in our bodies - it is not too late to choose where we spend eternity. 

However

 there is only ONE WAY to ETERNAL LIFE with peace and loved ones with God - our Creator. 

This way being through Yeshua/Jesus 

HE is the Son of God - God Himself made man

 He is the Way - the Truth - the Life - No man comes to God but through Him

John 3;16-17" tells us, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." 

So, come.....cast your care on the HIM for he cares for you....1 Peter 5:7

Just come as you are - and call out to Him. He will be there for you. That is WHY He came.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

THIS LIFE we live now is fleeting - when we die our spirits will live forever. I know "I" want to live in a beautiful place with those I love - In peace - joy - and no more sorrow - with God, my creator. The way HE originally intended it to be from the beginning, BEFORE SIN MESSED things up. How 'bout you?

Beauty in the Rubble

These are some pictures I took while taking a walk though an abandoned mobile home park. It had been destroyed by a tropical storm/ hurricane. It was so sad to walk through the blocks and blocks of what used to be at one times mobile homes full of life.  As I so much of the time do, I began to contemplate and talk to the Lord about what I was seeing and how I could learn from it all. I am going through so much right now in my own personal life I began to ask the Lord to show me  from it all - and He did. 

Like He always does!

As I walked down the broken up black top street I began to see things differently.

 I began to see random pictures of beauty here and there.

I thought I would share them with you.

So here they are for your viewing pleasure.

"Death to Self"

A stone I found sitting in the middle of a shuffle board court. Reminded me of an unmarked grave stone.

Reminding me that even after the storm - we must remember to forgive - and forget the past.

NOT be like Lots wife.

I think this speaks for itself.

Purty flowers growing in - well after the storm has come AND gone

and WE have MOVED on as well.

We sow what we reap.

Seeds left behind.

 

I love THIS.

Can you see the cloud?

It's as if it is reaching down from the sky.

Then there is one palm tree standing so very tall all by itself.

There were a few others at one time, but the storm actually blew them down.

This spoke strength to me.

Here's another  TALL palm in the same  park.

"Perseverance"

THIS one speaks "New Beginnings"

Can you see the baby palm growing in the road?

This is actually a true blue regular palm tree.

It has sprouted up through the black top -

right in the middle of what used to be one of the

main roads that ran through the mobile home park.

                      "Life"

This is the last picture I took at the park.

I call it,

"New Heavens - New Earth"

It reminds me that no matter what when it's all said and done - what really matters is -

Isn't what really matters to me.

All I want is to be more like Him and less like me.

That's what REALLY Matters.
