A Prayerfully Personalized 3 Minute Scripture Lift

***

“I will extol the Lord at all times;
His praise will always be on my lips.
My soul will boast in the Lord;
Let the afflicted hear and rejoice.”

***
~ Promises ~
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the broken hearted
And saves those who are crushed in spirit.
A righteous man may have many troubles,
But the Lord delivers him from them all;”
“Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Delight yourself in the Lord
And he will give you the desires of your heart.”
“Better the little that the righteous have
than the wealth of many wicked.”

***

“I desire to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart.
I proclaim your righteousness in the great assembly;
I do not seal my lips,
As you know O Lord.
I do not hide your righteousness in my heart;
I speak of your faithfulness and salvation.
I do not conceal your love and your truth from the great assembly.”

“I do not trust in my bow,
my sword does not bring my victory;
but you give me victory over my enemies,
you put my adversaries to shame.
In God I make my boast all day long,
And I will praise your name forever.”
“I waited patiently for the Lord;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
Out of the mud and the mire;
He set my feet on a rock
And gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
A hymn of praise to our God.”
“If the Lord delights in a man’s way,
he makes his steps firm;
though he stumble, he will not fall,
for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”

***

Cast your cares on the Lord
and he will sustain you;
he will never let the righteous fall.”
Be Blessed with every good blessing in our Precious Savior and Lord Jesus!

3:30 a.m. God's Calling

The house is quiet with the the exception of the heater kicking on and off every so often; and the tick-tick-tick of the kitchen clock. I find myself in an oh so familiar place; tossing and turning in bed unable to fall asleep. On one hand I want desperately to fall asleep, on the other I know deep down inside that the Spirit  of God is calling me for some. one on one, time. I am - facing - the ultimate battle. Flesh/vs/Spirit. Thankfully, tonight my spirit man won!

I honestly don't know why it's such a struggle. I know how amazing these midnight - one on one times - are, with the Lord. Still....It can be such a struggle sometimes to get out of bed.

Tonight my time has left me with an acute sense of time. "Life - time." The kind of time that is person specific.
None of us really knows when "our time" here on earth is through. I mean it could be any moment. I am sure all of us would like to think it isn't "any time soon". However, let's be real here, it very well could be. Only God himself knows when.

My blog today isn't so much about touching on getting ready or being ready for our destined - unknown time. ( although that is a good idea!)  After my midnight date with the Lord I just wanted to share with you all  little something I wrote. Something about making the most out of life or out of each day. Remembering to take the time to do the important things.

I know life can get hectic and try to convince us we don't have the time to take for the smaller (most  important) things in life. I am going to change my way of thinking.

Hope you enjoy the following!

Today is the day to live my life.

Not yesterday, not tomorrow.

One day at a time to it’s fullest for me.

For I know not what tomorrow holds.

Today, I shall live abundantly!
One day at a time; yet making the most of it.
Being extra careful about what I say;
Thinking of others; remembering to pray.
One day at a time, seizing every moment;
Listening closely to hear the softest spoken word
stepping lightly to meet other’s needs without being heard.
One day at time, looking forward to eternal life;
Sharing the gospel with everyone I can.
Loving and caring for every race of man.
Yes
One day at a time; I will live my life.
For the one who gave his life for me;
So that I could learn to grow and be;
And live this life I now live;
One day at a time.

Taking Time to Pray

Sunday Morning Traffic Jam

Up and out of bed
Before the sun is up
“I should pray before I wake the others, but I am late and no time today.”
Start the coffee brewing
We need that to start the day
“I should really pray before I wake the others, but I am late and no time today.”
In the shower for me
Before the others get up
“I should really pray before I wake the others, but I am late and no time today.”
I will start the breakfast
Have it ready when the others get up
“I should really pray before I wake the others, but I am late and no time today.”
I will go wake the others now
So they will not be late
“I should really pray before I wake the others, but I am late and no time today.”
I have waken the others
Everything is ready
“I should have prayed before I woke the others, but I was late and had no time today.”
The others got up
Chaos ensued
A Traffic Jam in the House, who knew?
Just like that
The peace disappeared
I knew I should have taken the time to pray, but I was late, I only missed one day.
I went back to the bedroom
Fell down on my knees
I knew we were late but I wouldn’t leave ~
Until I took the time to pray.
