The Valley

There are many rare and beautiful treasures
deep down in the valley, if you take the time to look for them. However, if your only goal while traveling through the valley is TO GET OUT then you WILL MISS OUT on such rare gifts of God!

I admit
when I notice I am on a fast track down hill from a mountain top to the valley low, the first thing I tend to do is to try and see if I can locate an alternate route. I mean come on! Seriously now. Going ALL the way down the mountain to the valley and back up again isn't exactly the quickest route and I know I have wasted enough time already in my life messing around so when it comes to pulling out the ol' spiritual GPS and choosing between quickest way or least amount of mileage I am all for quickest way! Unfortunately for me, the Lord doesn't always see it MY WAY.

Or IS IT....."unfortunate"?

I have learned, after a great many trips down the same old mountain and into the same valley, that it is quite fortunate that I have upgraded to the spiritual GPS system (God Positioning System) and no longer have to depend on my out dated gps. My navigating skills are some-what lacking! I have this ever longing desire to go upward, even though the map is telling me otherwise. 🤦‍♀️ Go figure.

It has taken me quite a few years and a good up grade but I have finally made it to the valley and taken a full tour. It is quite beautiful down here!

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths
of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
For Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff
they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my
head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house
Of the Lord for ever.

Changes of the Heart

It’s evening now, as the sun sets low.

The sky is a painting with bright colors aglow.

The midnight sky not far away,

Nighttime animals come out to play.

A whole new world beneath the sky,

As the moon and the stars rise up so high.

A world the same, yet not at all,

Just like the mountaintops in spring and in fall.

Both a beauty in themselves; the mountains in the fall;

Speak of change and solitude; spring, new life to all.

So mountaintops in seasons change a divine work of art.

We too have night and day to live, in changes of the heart.

The sun awakes as morning breaks. Mankind begins its day.

Survival of the fittest one is now the game we play.

Though games of survival we continue to play, and the life we lead goes on.

There is a change in man's heart, between the dusk and dawn.

For some it is as a mountain in fall,

A way of escape from it all;

For others it is as a mountain in spring;

A breath of life for their weary being.

~Selah~

Before too long, it's no longer dawn, but evening has arrived.

Tired and yet thankful ones are happy to have survived.

No matter what the case may be, there's beauty to be found;

If we’ll only take the time to see, how God’s glory in nature abounds.

If the Lord has led you into the valley,

Know,  HE is with you.

Know, it is not a punishment.

Know, everything will be okay.

REST, because SOON you will need strength to start your climb back up the mountain!

Grace, love 💗 peace 🕊️and joy 🥰 in Jesus!

Dry bones come alive.

 A vivid night vision.

Three Tornadoes

 I was inside a huge church building and I saw out the front window three tornadoes in the distance. I walked up closer to the window and stared  at them for a moment and saw them swirling around each other like crazy – back and forth – back and forth.

I hollered out, “Every one! Quick! Get down stairs!  There’s a tornado coming! Don’t worry about closing the doors, the wind will get them for you!”

Everyone headed for the basement except for a few people in leadership. They kept working. I stood there staring out the window. Then I saw the three tornadoes come upon a small town just blocks from us. As the tornadoes hit the city…the city instantly went up in flames. At that point I headed for the door of the church and went outside. I had absolutely no fear. I looked straight up into the sky. There were heavy winds blowing all around me and dirt flying because of the hard, dirt ground that surrounded the church grounds. At this point the tornadoes were right above me and the building and I actually saw the “face of a man” in the one tornado - right above me. I recognized the face. It was Jesus.

 Just as soon as I recognized the face - the tornadoes simultaneously dropped like heavy rain upon the church and the ground around ….so much so that the once hard, dry ground became like mud.

Then, people started coming up from the ground like dead people being made alive…..they had bandages on them and were all dirty from the mud. Some had scars. They were ugly and some were so old.

I felt so bad for them…..I began to cry out to those that were in the church, “Help! Somebody help me, help these poor people! Please!!”

Then the door to the building opened up and one by one a few people came out and began to help those that came up from the ground, that were uncovered from the storm.... those that  had all those wounds.

Complete Surrender

 In His Hand

by: Amy Colleen Klapp

In his hand;
Forever
Since my beginning;
Until my end

Created like him;
Wonderfully
Designed to worship him;
Fearfully

I am surely my beloveds
And
He is mine

Heavens King calls down
I answer with a sigh
[I must have more of him!
Or I will surely die!]

My LORD, who am I that you gaze upon me;
Opening the windows of Heaven like a curtain?
“You have called, my LORD…I am here.
Your own beloved Hand Maiden.”

Engulfed in heavens light;
Stunned
Beholding heavens hosts;
Awestruck

Swept away in spirit;
Desiring
Taken to my LORD;
Humbled

I am surely my beloveds
And
He is mine

Heavens King takes my hand
Brings me to my feet
Celestial music fills the air
We dance; our eyes they meet

My LORD, who am I that you gaze upon me;
Opening the windows of Heaven like a curtain?
“You have called, my LORD….I am here.
Your Own Amy Colleen.”

Ecclesiastes 5:1-3
Stand in Awe of God

 Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.

 Do not be rash with your mouth,
And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God.
For God is in heaven, and you on earth;
Therefore let your words be few.
 For a dream comes through much activity,
And a fool’s voice is known by his many words.
 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it;
For He has no pleasure in fools.
Pay what you have vowed—
 Better not to vow than to vow and not pay.

 Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error. Why should God be angry at your excuse and destroy the work of your hands?  For in the multitude of dreams and many words there is also vanity. But fear God.

In Light of Pastor Appreciation

This is a poem I wrote years ago for a very dear friend and Pastor of mine, who has since gone to be with the Lord.

I have had the privilege to work under and with a few more Pastors since then.

I am dedicating this to them all!

Thank you and

God bless you real good! 🕊️😊💙

                 MY PASTOR

My Pastor is like no other.

I’ve looked far and wide and can see;

My Pastor is like no other.

Yet, he seems familiar to me.

My Pastor loves without measure;

takes care of his flock selflessly.

My Pastor lives what he teaches.

Gives grace to all men equally.

My Pastor gives without ceasing.

He cares like I’ve never seen.

Staying up nights for the brethren;

up before dawn, on his knees.

My Pastor is like no other.

Every day he amazes me.

But I can’t help but wonder,

about the familiarity.

Lord, you know my Pastor.

You created him one of a kind.

Why does he seem so familiar to me,

if he’s the only one of his kind?

Your Pastor, dear child, is quite special.

He’s one of a kind as you see.

The reason he seems so familiar to you;

is because he’s so much like me.
